When seventeen year old Faith and her father move from New York to a small town in Iowa, they hope to find absolution from their haunting past and leave the tragic loss of Faith’s mother behind. While she struggles to move on with her life and smile again for her father, Faith discovers that she is not truly willing to let go and accept her mother’s death. Her clairvoyant visions and a guarding voice only she can hear don’t contribute to Faith’s mental recovery. When she meets Jarred, it becomes clear she doesn’t know half of the story behind her mother’s mysterious death.

Reexamine everything you know about angels. And remember that wherever there is an angel, a demon is not too far either.

What do you say? Does this sound like a novel you would like to read?
How about my pen name?
I'm not very creative when it comes to visual arts, but I think this one has something haunting about it, and it fits the story!

This is an idea Ella gave me on her blog. Here is how it works:

1 – Go to "Fake Name Generator" or click http://www.fakenamegenerator.com/
The name that appears is your author name.

2 – Go to "Random Word Generator" or click http://www.websitestyle.com/parser/randomword.shtml
The word listed under "Random Verb" is your title.

3 – Go to "FlickrCC" or click http://flickrcc.bluemountains.net/index.php
Type your title into the search box. The first photo that contains a person is your cover.

4 – Use Photoshop, Picnik, or similar to put it all together. Be sure to crop and/or zoom in.

5 – Post it to your site along with this text.

Let 100 Scope Notes know that you made one by commenting here, and it'll be added to the gallery!

Give it a try! It’s fun!

  1. I like the plot, but I think the picture doesn't really fit well with it :P
    LOL
    It's cool though!

  2. Hi, Ella,
I actually hate it and I was just thinking about taking it down...I'm desperate when it comes to stuff like this... I was ashamed when I saw the covers other people made. Luckily, no one will bother much to ask us :)especially not for the debut novel.
Though, the picture has some relevance to the plot...I'll have my brother retouch it. He's an expert on Photoshop.

    xo,
    Ivy
