SUMMARY:

How far would you go to save the people you love?

Madison is familiar enough with change, and she hates everything about it. Change took her long-term boyfriend away from her. It caused one of her friends to suddenly hate her. It’s responsible for the death of a local along with a host of other mysterious happenings. But when Madison meets a hot new guy, she thinks her luck is about to improve.

Madison is instantly drawn to the handsome and intriguing Isaac Addington. She quickly realizes he’s a guy harboring a secret, but she’s willing to risk the unknown to be with him.

Her world really spins out of control, however, when her best friend becomes delusional, seeing things that aren’t there and desperately trying to escape their evil. When the doctors can’t find the answers, Madison seeks her own.

Nothing can prepare her for what she is about to discover.
Dangerous, intoxicating, and darkly romantic, Embrace is a thriller that will leave you spellbound.

REVIEW:

The summary is very vague and doesn't even begin to cover what's happening in this action-packed, fast-paced take on teen witchcraft. Since I'm on a kind of witchcraft-craze  in the last few months when it comes to reading, Embrace was a delicious addition to the menu (taste-pun intended-if you've read it, you know what I mean).

The plot doesn't start with a bang. Madison, our main character, slowly discovers what power she possesses (hence Embrace). It's easy to sympathize with the characters. They are young people who face great changes and have to learn how to deal with the responsibility before them. Colier also shows what happens when this responsibility and power are abused. The book has you guessing and questioning some characters motivation to the very end.

I loved the writing, it was easy-flowing and gently pulling you forward through the story. What I liked most about is that it accentuates things like loyalty, friendship and trust that binds our main characters, and the perpetual battle between good and evil as subject matter.

I don't what to give away too much, so I'll stop here and just say that I loved this book, and if YA paranormal romances are your think, you should read this one!
